By using this website for any purpose, including booking a service or repair for your vehicle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use any of the services offered on our website.

Our Service

Windscreen Compare acts as a booking service that matches customer requests for vehicle glass repairs and replacements with third-party suppliers (“Suppliers”).

Role of Windscreen Compare

  • We maintain a network of third-party Suppliers in the UK who specialise in vehicle repairs.
  • We facilitate bookings but are not responsible for any services provided by Suppliers.
  • We are not a party to any disputes between Suppliers and customers.
  • We do not guarantee that a booking will be honoured by a Supplier.
  • Any agreement for services is directly between you and the Supplier.

Booking Process

To make a booking, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. Provide accurate details, including:
    • Vehicle make, model, and registration number.
    • Preferred service location and time.
    • Selected service requirements.
  3. Windscreen Compare will notify the Supplier, who will confirm availability.
  4. If the booking is accepted, confirmation will be sent via email or SMS.
  5. We may assist in resolving booking issues but cannot guarantee a resolution.
  6. Payment is made directly to the Supplier if you select the “pay on completion” option.

Payments

Payment Methods

Windscreen Compare may offer various payment methods, including:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Klarna (subject to Klarna’s terms and conditions)
  • Other methods at our discretion

Payment Conditions

  • By providing payment details, you confirm that:
    • You are authorised to use the payment method.
    • The information provided is accurate.
  • We may conduct authenticity checks and involve law enforcement if fraud is suspected.
  • Refunds and disputes regarding payment terms must be handled with your credit provider.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If you cancel and cannot reschedule, a refund will be issued minus a £20 cancellation fee (covering admin and merchant costs).
  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
  • If you fail to show up for your booking, you forfeit the entire amount paid.

Liability & Disclaimers

  • Windscreen Compare is not liable for:
    • Service failures by Suppliers.
    • Any defects in the services provided.
    • Any misleading or deceptive conduct by Suppliers.
    • Losses due to a Supplier’s failure to comply with UK consumer laws.
  • In no event shall we be responsible for direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or business interruptions.

Additional Fees

For certain windscreen bookings, additional fees may apply, including:

  • New windscreen mouldings (£30+ if the old one cannot be reused)
  • Specialty glass (e.g., acoustic or solar glass)
  • Larger vehicle windscreens (e.g., vans, trucks, 4x4s)
  • Heads-up display windscreens
  • Call-out fees (for work outside business hours)

Chip Repair Disclaimer

  • Chip repairs are not always successful.
  • There is a risk that the windscreen may crack during the repair process.
  • If a crack occurs, you may need a replacement, which will incur additional costs.
  • If using insurance, any excess already paid will be deducted from the replacement cost.

ADAS Calibration

  • Vehicles with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) may require calibration after a windscreen replacement.
  • We will attempt calibration using the latest available software.
  • If calibration cannot be completed, you will need to arrange it elsewhere at your own cost.

Licence to Use the Website

  • You are granted a limited, revocable licence to use the website for personal and informational purposes.
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute website content without permission.
  • We may terminate your access at any time if you:
    • Fail to pay invoices.
    • Provide false information.
    • Harass other users.
    • Violate laws or intellectual property rights.
    • Misuse the website for spam or unauthorised activities.

Intellectual Property

  • Windscreen Compare owns all copyrights and trademarks associated with the website.
  • You may not use our trademarks without written permission.
